New Doctors Join St. Francis Orthopedic and Neuroscience Center

New Physicians Added to St. Francis Orthopedic and Neuroscience Center
’s Orthopedic and Neuroscience Center (1601 St. Francis Avenue), which was established in 2007, recently added several new physicians. Since its opening, the St. Francis Orthopedic and Neuroscience Center has emerged as the southwest metro’s preferred location for joint (knee, hip, shoulder and elbow) care and reconstruction, spine surgery, hand surgery, pain medicine, neurology, sports medicine, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and complex fracture treatment. St. Francis also is designated by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota as a Blue Distinction Center for both spine surgery and knee and hip replacement.
Park Nicollet Orthopedics has added Dr. John Kasmirski, who practices orthopedic medicine and specializes in sports related injuries and fracture care. Dr. Kasmirski joins board certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Darren Larson, and board certified hand surgeon, Dr. Mark Wilczynski. Park Nicollet Neurology has increased the clinic time for neurologist, Dr. Dan Kuyper, to one full day per week, effective April 20. Dr. Kuyper started at St. Francis in September 2011 and has seen fast growth in the demand for his services, which include treatment for movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, and other forms of tremor and dystonia. “I am looking forward to providing neurologic care to a growing area of the Twin Cities and working closely with primary care providers at St. Francis,” says Kuyper. “I’m also looking forward to developing new relationships over the long term with new patients and their families.” The Park Nicollet Neurology clinic can be reached by calling 952-993-3200.
Twin Cities Orthopedics has opened a new six physician, full-time clinic that offers a complete spectrum of medical care devoted to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injuries and conditions that affect the body’s muscles, joints and bones. Physicians seeing patients at this new clinic include orthopedic surgeons Dr. Owen O'Neil, Dr. Neil Johnson, Dr. Jeffery Dick, Dr. Joe Nemanich, Dr. Ed Kelly and Dr. Loren Vorlicky. Dr. Neil Johnson has been active at St. Francis for several years seeing patients at the Orthopedic and Neuroscience Center and serving as the Medical Director for St. Francis’ Sports Medicine Program. Twin Cities Spine Center has added Sean Thomas, PA-C to its Shakopee location. Thomas partners with spine surgeon, Dr. Kevin Mullaney, who has been at St. Francis for several years, to offer specialized care and surgery for the spine.
