River Valley Cooperative Arts / Fire Station Arts Update and Meeting Schedule

Things are moving along at a great clip. Here's some highlights:
• Fire Station Arts is now a project of our umbrella organization, River Valley Cooperative Arts (RVCA)
• RVCA assumed name paperwork filed and processed by the Secretary of State
• RVCA address PO Box 81, Shakopee, MN 55379-0081
• Moving to twice monthly weeknight meetings beginning in May (Proposed: 2nd & 4th Monday nights at the library, 6:30-8:00)
• RVCA to be promoting community arts and fundraising at Scott County Fair (with spin art bike) and Minnesota Valley Arts Festival (with artist spotlights) in July
• Finalizing our Fiscal Agent letter this week to deliver to Kathy at Scott County Historical Society (a million thanks, Kathy)

• Building area use cases being developed with community partners.
• Committees have been established
• And we're still having fun!

Remember how we've mentioned the lack of public meeting spaces in our initial proposal? Well, guess what? We can't find a single public meeting space where we can have regular meetings at consistent times. I think we are on to something! :) Actually, we got pretty close.

Our Business Plan is due July 30th. After this point we will move to a once monthly schedule:

We also, could use a new minute taker for these meetings as Tammy has a conflict with Tuesday nights. If we can't find a permanent scribe, we'll each take turns.
