The 18-hole four-person scramble sold out last year so participants are encouraged to register early.

The Saints Healthcare Foundation, a merger of the St. Francis Foundation and St. Gertrude’s Foundation to advance the future of healthcare for people in our community, will be holding its 15th Annual “Tee One for Hope” Charity Golf Tournament to benefit St. Francis Cancer Center’s Cancer Care Fund and St. Gertrude’s General Fund. The golf tournament will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at in Shakopee with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

“We had an amazing tournament last year raising more than $80,000 for cancer care. Great, loyal donor support from corporations, vendors, community donors, and record player turnout continue in support of our Cancer Care Fund,” says Rhonda Zweber, Saints Healthcare Foundation Volunteer Golf Tournament chair. “As a former cancer patient at St. Francis, I have experienced firsthand the need for the cancer care coordinator since there were many occasions I had questions and didn’t know where to turn. This role at St. Francis is not only a resource for answer, but also a source of support.”

The tournament, which attracts participants throughout Scott and Carver counties, includes unique contests, hole activities, silent auction, raffle drawing, and opportunities to win team and individual prizes. The afternoon will conclude with a BBQ lunch and awards ceremony. The 18-hole four-person scramble sold out last year so participants are encouraged to register early.
