Sandwiches: Not just for lunch anymore
A simple way to make a difference: make sandwiches

For not much over $50, you can make a difference to many hungry people. I recently learned about an organization called 363 Days. They provide directions for making sandwiches and drop off points around the metro. The sandwiches are then delivered to homeless shelters and individuals in need around the Twin Cities.
In February, I stopped by the local grocery store, picked up 15 loaves of bread, several packages of bologna, and the largest package of cheese I could find. Then, along with a couple friends (who happen to also be members of the Savage Area Women of Today), assembled 150 sandwiches. It went very quickly and it was easy enough that we could also enjoy some conversation.
You can learn more about 363 Days including their history and how you can become involved on my recent Blogunteer post.
