Shakopee Chamber May Business in the Spotlight

Superior Endeavors, Inc. is a technology consulting and service firm. Their tag line is “Your technology ally, helping you succeed one byte at a time!” Their products and services focus on the design, implementation, and support of technology infrastructures (data cabling, workstations, tablets, servers, phone systems, printers, and network components) that allow their clients to focus on the business of the business and not their technology. They also provide e-mail and web hosting services and design, implement, and support digital signage solutions.

Their clients are businesses and nonprofits that don’t have an in-house technology staff. They are a Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft partner. These partnerships allow them to provide their clients with the hardware/software they need as well as ongoing service and support.

The company was founded in 2000 by owner, Mark Bury, and started as a part-time business while he worked full-time at Wells Fargo & Company as a technology project manager and architect. Mark grew up in a family business and knew that at some time in his career he would return to a small business environment full-time. Mark left Wells Fargo in August 2007 and has worked full-time with SEI since then.

As one of the two owners of the business, Mark ends up doing whatever it takes with a primary focus on the financial management and marketing/sales. In 2011, they merged with Micro Consulting and effectively doubled their business while taking on another owner. They are in the process of merging with another technology firm that will grow their business another 50 percent while adding a third owner. Their current staff consists of two owners, a part time administrative assistant and a field technician.

They have two locations. Their main office is in Hopkins at 7900 Excelsior Boulevard and they just opened an office in Williston, ND at 417 First Avenue East. Their hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
