CANCELED - ShakopeeConnect to Host Leading Young Entrepreneur

ShakopeeConnect, a local young professional’s organization formed to connect young professionals in the Shakopee area, will hold its first Bigwig Lunch Talk (“BLT”) of the year on Thursday, March 15. The event will feature Brenton Hayden, who at 26, has already been named Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s “2010 Young Entrepreneur of the Year,” was named one of the “Top Five Emerging Entrepreneurs” by Entrepreneur Magazine and was selected as “Professional of the Year in Real Estate” by the Cambridge Registry.

In addition, Hayden’s company, Renters Warehouse, headquartered in Golden Valley, was named one of the “Best Places to Work” by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal in 2010 and 2011. Renters Warehouse was also ranked 132 on the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing small businesses in America and ranked as the fastest growing company in Minnesota.

ShakopeeConnect’s BLT events offer guests the opportunity to hear from local leaders about their organizations, careers, successes, failures and advice for achievement in business. Hayden will speak about the real estate market, franchising, his career path and general advice for other young entrepreneurs. Previous BLT speakers include Jeff Peterson (President of Abbott Northwestern Hospital) and Steve LaCroix (Vice President of Marketing and Sales for the Minnesota Vikings).
