Minnesota Historical Society Awards Scott County City $3189 Grant
The grants were for projects that preserve and share Minnesota's history and cultural heritage.

The Minnesota Historical Society (MHS) has announced the recipients of the Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants. Scott County did not miss out.
Jordan was among the eighty organizations and 37 counties throughout Minnnesota to receive a grant. The city will receive $3189 to catalog historical items stored at city hall.
Tom Nikunen, Jordan’s finance director, explained that the inventory could eventually help the city to prepare a permanent location for the items.

The purpose of the grants, according to MHS, is to preserve and share Minnesota’s history and cultural heritage.
"These projects will enhance access to history for all people now and in the future," said David Grabitske, manager of outreach services, in a statement from MHS. "Accessibility means that people will be able to use the power of Minnesota history to transform their communities."
