12 People Shot In Uptown Minneapolis, 1 Killed: No Arrests Made
"People scattered" as the shooters moved north on Hennepin Avenue, according to police.

MINNEAPOLIS — One person is dead and 11 others were hospitalized with gunshot wounds after a shooting in the Uptown area of Minneapolis early Sunday. No arrests have been made.
Just after 12:30 a.m., 911 calls came in reporting multiple people shot on the 2900 block of Hennepin Avenue South.
Police arrived and located several people suffering from gunshot wounds. Multiple ambulances responded and transported victims to Hennepin Healthcare. Others were transported to area hospitals in private vehicles.

Police say the shooters — while on foot — began spraying bullets on the 2900 block of Hennepin Avenue South and moved north. People scattered and the suspects fled, according to investigators.

Five detectives have been called in to work the case, according to a news release. Interviews of people in the area and collection of videos are being conducted, police said.
Personnel from the Minneapolis Police Department’s Crime Lab responded and processed the scene and collected evidence.
The identity of the person who died will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office in the coming days.
Police responded to six separate shooting incidents across Minneapolis Sunday night.
