Bridgewater Stiff-Arms 300-Pound DT in Preseason Win

The Vikings quarterback made a completion after stiff-arming 300-pound defensive tackle Geno Atkins.

The Minnesota Vikings began their 2016 preseason Friday with a 17-16 win against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went 6-of-7 for 92 yards and finished with a 49-yard touchdown to wide receiver Charles Johnson. ESPN reported that rookie and first-round pick Laquon Treadwell had a team-high four catches for 41 yards in Friday's game.

Bridgewater's touchdown wasn't his only highlight of the night. In his first series, the third-year quarterback avoided a likely 10-yard sack by putting the stiff-arm on 300-pound defensive tackle Geno Atkins:

The Vikings will play their second preseason game against the Seahawks Thursday, Aug. 18 at 9 p.m.

The team will play its first home game in the new U.S. Bank Stadium for its third preseason matchup against the San Diego Chargers Aug. 28.
