Candidate Jensen Criticises Gov. Walz After MN State Fair Shooting

"The culture of lawlessness must end in Minnesota," Republican Scott Jensen said as news about the shooting was breaking.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Republican candidate for Minnesota governor Scott Jensen took to Twitter Saturday night to criticize Gov. Tim Walz after one person was shot at the State Fair.

"The culture of lawlessness must end in Minnesota. Families must feel safe," Jensen said as news about the situation was breaking.

Jensen then responded directly to Walz, blaming him for "lawlessness." Jensen also referenced the recent incidents of gun crime at the Mall of America.

Jensen, whose campaign has been marred by controversial statements, has made the rise in violent crime across the state a center point of his campaign against Walz.
