New Video: Car Drives Off Bridge, Bursts Into Flames On I-94 In Minneapolis
Horrifying footage shows police officers and good Samaritans working to rescue two people after their car went off a highway overpass.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Horrifying new footage shows the perilous effort undertaken by police officers and good Samaritans to rescue two people after their car was sent sailing off a highway overpass in Minneapolis last week.
Just before 10 p.m. on the evening of July 26, a Cadillac ATS plunged off the 41st Avenue North bridge onto congested Interstate 94, then burst into flames.
Minneapolis police said the car was speeding before the crash. Fortunately, no other vehicle was struck on the car's descent onto the busy highway.

Officers and two brave civilians jumped into action to get the two passengers out of the car before the vehicle was completely engulfed with flames.

Both the driver and passenger were transported to North Memorial by ground ambulance. Driver Floyd Douglas Cunningham died while passenger Lancha Robertson survived the crash.
