Minneapolis Gas Leak: Gas Line Hit By Bulldozer
A segment of the light rail has been shut down and buildings have been evacuated after a gas leak occurred near the University of Minnesota.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A segment of the light rail has been shut down and several buildings have been evacuated after a gas leak was found near the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus. Minneapolis fire officials reported that the leak occurred after a 12 inch steel gas line was hit by a bulldozer.
All buildings within one block of the leak have been evacuated, and 4th St SE is currently closed to traffic from 27th to 30th. CenterPoint Energy has arrived on scene, and crews have monitored the area and established a perimeter.
Buses will replace Green Line trains between Raymond and West Bank Stations due to the leak.
