Minnesota Vikings Make Decision On Teddy Bridgewater: Report

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The exodus of eligible quarterbacks out of Minnesota continues. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Teddy Bridgewater is expected to become a free agent and that the Vikings are not planning to toll Bridgewater's contract.

"Teddy Two-Gloves" has likely played his last down for the Vikings.

Bridgwater was drafted by Minnesota in the first round of the 2014 draft. He returned to the Vikings' active roster in November after suffering a dislocated knee and a torn ACL in 2016.

The news on Bridgewater's future comes less than 24 hours after it was reported that Case Keenum will also enter free agency next month.

Bridgwater spent the 2017-2018 season as Keenum's backup, throwing only two passes the entire season.

Who will become the Vikings' next QB?

Sam Bradford — the Vikings' other top QB — will join Keenum and Bridgewater in free agency barring a new contact with the team.

NFL analysts expect the Vikings to try to sign Kirk Cousins, arguably the most capable QB available on the market this offseason. NFL free agency officially begins at 3 p.m. on March 14.
