Super Bowl 52 Nightclub Canceled

The Chainsmokers, Kygo, Florida Georgia Line, and Gwen Stefani will instead perform at smaller venues.

There's been a major shakeup for one of the premiere Super Bowl parties scheduled in Minnesota. Mystic Lake Casino's traveling nightlife experience "Club Nomadic" has been canceled.

The temporary nightclub was set for four days of performances the week of the Super Bowl. Instead, the Chainsmokers, Kygo, Florida Georgia Line, and Gwen Stefani will perform inside Mystic Lake at much smaller venues.

“Unfortunately, as the event approached, we determined that it would be impossible to ensure an event that is up to our standards of quality,” organizer Angela Heikes said in a statement.

Club Nomadic is owned by Nomadic Entertainment Group, a company associated with the NFL.

Poor ticket sales is a likely factor in the Club Nomadic cancelation, the Star Tribune reported. The cheapest tickets available started at $100 and clocked in at $10,000 for VIP offers.

The newspaper noted that Club Nomadic hosted Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars before the Super Bowl in Houston last year. This year's lineup in the Twin Cities features lesser-known acts.
