WCCO's Rachel Slavik — who spent seven years at the CBS affiliate — left the station and "news" in general back in October, the Star Tribune reported.

Ivory Hecker left KARE 11 in October for Houston's KRIV-TV.

That same month, KARE 11 announced it had "parted ways" with "Sunrise" anchor Kim Insley after 24 years.

Anchors moved to new positions

In February, veteran anchor Tim McNiff left KARE 11 Sunrise to launch "a multi-platform news and sports digital series" with the station.

Replacing Tim McNiff on KARE 11 Sunrise is Kris Laudien, former anchor at Global News Canada.

Joining Laudien, Lauren Leamanczyk — who's been with KARE 11 since August of 2016 — is moving from her role as an investigative reporter to become an anchor on KARE 11 Sunrise.
