Vikings Head Coach Search: 8 Candidates Interviewed So Far

TWIN CITIES, MN — Since firing Mike Zimmer on Jan. 10, the Minnesota Vikings have interveiwed eight different candidates for the open head coaching position.

Three of the eight candidates are offensive coordinators. The other five are defensive coordinators.

Five of the six teams represented by these coaches made the playoffs this year. Two of the teams — the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers — made it to the NFC Championship game, which will be played on Sunday.

Here are the eight candidates that have been interviewed so far:

Nathaniel Hackett: Offensive Coordinator for the Green Bay Packers. Interview date: Jan. 16

Dan Quinn: Defensive Coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. Interview date: Jan. 19

Kellen Moore: Offensive Coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. Interview date: Jan. 19

Jonathan Gannon: Defensive Coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. Interview date: Jan. 20

Todd Bowles: Defensive Coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Interview date: Jan. 21

Raheem Morris: Defensive Coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams. Interview date: Jan. 21

Kevin O'Connell: Offensive Coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams. Interview date: Jan. 21

DeMeco Ryans: Defensive Coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers. Interview date: Jan. 23

The Vikings also continue to search for a new general manager.
