Minnesota Man, 44, Died In Las Vegas Mass Shooting: Report

Steve Berger​, of Shorewood​, was celebrating his 44th birthday in Las Vegas when the mass shooting occurred.

HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN — A Minnesota man who went missing after attending the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival in Las Vegas Sunday has died, his parents have confirmed. Steve Berger, of Shorewood, was celebrating his 44th birthday over the weekend but had not been heard from since the mass shooting that led to 59 deaths and wounded hundreds more.

Mary Berger told KARE 11 that she learned Tuesday afternoon that her son Steve was among the dead. Berger said her son's roommate told her he saw Steve get shot down. He tried to help him but he was rushed out of the area.

Richard Berger, Steve's father, told WCCO that Steve had three kids and was born and raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
