$10,000 Grant to Help Woodbury’s Christian Cupboard Replace Fridges, Freezers

The funds come from Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless.

Woodbury’s Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf on Wednesday, June 26, announced that it has received a $10,000 grant that will allow the organization to replace its refrigerators and freezers with new commercial-grade equipment.

The funds came from Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless, a St. Paul-based certified nonprofit.

The Christian Cupboard is also taking part in a challenge grant opportunity in July. Sponsored by Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless and Hunger Solutions Minnesota, the program stipulates that every dollar donated to Christian Cupboard next month will go toward matching of funds up to $5,000.

The Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf (CCEFS) is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 corporation founded 30 years ago to provide for those in need in Woodbury, Oakdale, Landfall and south Maplewood.
