Sport Clips Haircuts to Open in Cottage Grove

Sport Clips Haircuts, a place that makes it good to be a guy, is opening tomorrow on 7240 East Point Douglas Road in Cottage Grove.

This is the first location in the city, adding to the more than 900 Sport Clips across the country.

“We’ve been true to our mission of creating a championship haircut experience for men and boys in an exciting sports environment. That’s why the Sport Clips concept continues to grow here in Minnesota and across the country,” said Andrea Zimmerman, Sport Clips’ team leader for the Cottage Grove and Maplewood locations. “Sport Clips is pampering for guys.”

Following their opening weekend, the new location will join 19 Sport Clips across Minnesota in honoring U.S. service members through a “Haircuts for Heroes” event. On July 2 and 3, Sport Clips in Minnesota will provide active and retired U.S. service members with a free haircut, with valid military I.D. ($17 Value)

The new Sport Clips will offer guys:

  • The MVP Experience – precision haircut, massaging shampoo, hot steamed towel treatment, and neck and shoulder massage
  • Stylists who specialize in male hair care and stay up-to-date on industry trends
  • Haircut services without an appointment – walk-ins are welcome
  • Large, flat-screen televisions playing sports programming at each haircut station and in the lobby, along with reading materials
  • Special lighting and massaging chairs in the shampoo area to promote relaxation  
  • Male-focused hair care and styling products 

“Guys absolutely love us and the Sport Clips experience,” said Zimmerman. “Friday will be the first opportunity for everyone to come in and check us out.” Zimmerman has plans to open her third Sport Clips in the Oak Park Heights-Stillwater area in mid-August.

The new Sport Clips is offering free MVP upgrades, including a massaging shampoo, hot steamed towel treatment, and neck and shoulder massage, to all new clients who purchase a haircut service. Store hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit http://haircutmencottagegrovemn.com/
