Woodbury School's Former Principal Pleads Guilty To Felony Theft
The former principal of East Ridge High School has pleaded guilty to using school funds for personal purchases.
WOODBURY, MN — The former principal of a high school in Woodbury has pleaded guilty to illegally using school funds for personal purchases. In 2014, Aaron Harper, of Cottage Grove, resigned from East Ridge High School following allegations that he misused thousands of South Washington County Schools dollars
On Monday, the 41-year-old man pleaded guilty to felony theft by swindle in Washington County, the Pioneer Press reported:
Following a police and internal investigation, school officials determined the purchases were either unnecessary or not requested by school departments, according to the charges.
The criminal complaint details thousands of dollars worth of unauthorized purchases Harper made over the course of three years. They including weight loss drinks, Sam’s Club memberships, Menards power tools, electronics, funeral flowers, softball equipment and $7,900 in cutlery knives.
