• Two Coastal cities issue burn bans amid dry conditions (wxxv25.com subscription) — Bay St. Louis is under a strict burn ban right now, with all open burning, fire pits, and outdoor fireplaces prohibited as firefighters battle wildfires near Lake Drive, Blue Meadow Road, and Highway 603. Waveland is also under the ban, and all existing burn permits are suspended, though propane and gas grills are still allowed if residents use extreme caution to prevent new fires.
