ISO Caregiver / Therapy Assistant

A family is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and professional caregiver to support a gentleman residing in a long-term care facility in Hattiesburg, MS. This role focuses on enhancing his mobility, engagement, and overall quality of life.

📋 Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: 4 hours per week (Two 2-hour sessions per week).
• Compensation: Starts at $15.00 per hour.
• Growth: Rate increases based on demonstrated skills, knowledge, and abilities.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Mobility Support: Assist the Resident with transferring from his bed to his wheelchair safely.
• Facility Navigation: Encourage and assist him in utilizing his limbs to propel himself throughout the facility.
• Outdoor Enrichment: Accommodate and accompany the Resident outdoors for 15 to 30 minutes per session (weather permitting).
• Therapy Monitoring: Observe and monitor the Resident during his professional facility therapy sessions.
• Therapeutic Exercises: Learn, replicate, and safely perform designated therapeutic movements with the Resident.
• Documentation: Maintain a detailed, accurate daily log of all actions, exercises, and milestones achieved during each shift.

🏅 Candidate Requirements

• Training: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or equivalent formal caregiving/medical training required.
• Experience: Proven professional experience working with disabled adults, physical rehabilitation, or within long-term care environments.
• Skills: Strong understanding of safe transfer techniques, body mechanics, and therapeutic exercise implementation.
• Attributes: Reliable, patient, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator.
