“It’s a three-way tie,” he said in describing his pinnacle and pivotal College moments.
“One is getting accepted into MCC. Two is graduating from MCC with two degrees, and
three is getting hired to work as a full-time employee at MCC,” Carlisle said.
Carlisle is MCCer of the Month for December. The MCC Foundation sponsors this monthly
recognition award to exemplify the College’s hardworking employees who go above and
beyond their job duties. Honorees receive a commemorative plaque and a $250 cash award.

At his job, Carlisle works closely with other Telecommunications Department colleagues
installing and maintaining computers, peripherals, software, and network access while
meeting the needs of students, faculty, and staffers. He counts working and interacting
with his team of co-workers as a highlight. “I work alongside a fantastic group of
people that work tirelessly to help students reach their goals,” Carlisle said. He’s
been a full-time employee for eight years.
Though work is rewarding, it’s his family that motivates him. “I have three amazing
sons, Jarius, 18, Kaiden, 17, and Kingston, 2, who are my world and the reason I get
up every day and work as hard as I can to ensure their health and success in life.”
When he’s not on the job at MCC, Carlisle enjoys being with his family, working on
side jobs doing computer and electronics-related tasks, and bass fishing.
