📰 News we're reading
• Harrison County grand jury indicts domestic violence abuser in woman's murder (sunherald.com) — Pass Christian residents are following a major development in last year’s homicide case: a local man has been indicted on first-degree murder and evidence-tampering charges in the shooting death of resident and mother of two, Joyce Gomez. Pass Christian police led the investigation, which traced her disappearance from a local bar shift to evidence found in a nearby home and wooded area.

• MDEQ Lifts Water Contact Advisory for Harrison County Beaches (thegazebogazette.com) — If you’ve been avoiding the water at Pass Christian East Beach, MDEQ has now lifted the contact advisory after bacteria levels returned to acceptable levels. Several nearby Gulfport, Biloxi, and Bay St. Louis beaches are also cleared, though swimmers are still urged to stay out during heavy rain and for 24 hours afterward.
