• Woman shot and killed in family clinic parking lot in Purvis (hattiesburgamerican.com) — A woman was fatally shot Monday afternoon in the parking lot of the Hattiesburg Clinic Family Clinic – Purvis on Weems Street, and Purvis police have arrested a suspect who later turned himself in. Authorities say the incident began as a domestic dispute, involved a young child who was not injured, and the suspect faces a murder charge with more charges possible at his court appearance.
