• Five Romanians Admit Bank Fraud Involving ATM Skimming Devices (fbi.gov) — Residents should know that federal prosecutors say ATM skimming devices were installed on at least one bank machine in Clayton as part of a wider St. Louis-area fraud scheme. Five Romanian nationals have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud, with investigators crediting Clayton and other local police departments for helping uncover cloned cards, skimming tools, and hundreds of captured PIN videos.
   

• Texas woman posed as airline employee to scam St. Louis hotel: Police (fox2now.com) — From the Clayton courthouse, prosecutors are pursuing a case against a Houston woman accused of posing as a United Airlines employee to get a 10-night free stay at a hotel near St. Louis Lambert Airport. She's charged with felony stealing over $750 and has been ordered to appear in St. Louis County Circuit Court on Nov. 5.
