• Stolen truck, unsolved shooting: KC Crime Stoppers renews push for tips in 2016 homicide (kctv5.com) — Kansas City officials are renewing a call for tips in the unsolved 2016 killing of Joshua Allen Bush, whose body was found in nearby Kansas City, Kansas, and whose truck was stolen. Crime Stoppers is urging anyone with information to contact the anonymous TIPS Hotline, with a reward of up to $5,000 for details leading to an arrest.

• Gower Pursuit ends in explosion; death (myqcountry.com) — Regional authorities are investigating after a man in Gower died when an explosion went off inside his vehicle during a police pursuit, scattering shrapnel but sparing officers. The Kansas City bomb squad was called in to clear the scene and found additional explosives, underscoring the serious safety risks involved in the incident.
