• Game on: The race to attract youth sports dollars in the St. Louis region (westnewsmagazine.com) — O'Fallon is rapidly becoming a youth sports hub, with upgraded Ozzie Smith Sports Complex fields, new batting cages, and a planned 168,000-square-foot indoor facility expected to draw up to 500,000 visitors a year. City officials say tournaments are already booked through 2027, bringing thousands of teams, hotel stays, and restaurant visits that boost the local economy while intensifying competition with nearby communities like Chesterfield and St. Louis County.
