• Flood warning in place for Platte County from Saturday and until further notice (kansascity.com) — A new National Weather Service flood warning will take effect Saturday night for Platte County, with minor flooding forecast along the Platte River near Platte City and low-lying cropland by Highway 92 at risk. Residents near the river, Tracy, and local access areas are urged to plan for rising water, avoid flooded roads, and follow safety guidance if evacuation becomes necessary.
   

• Platte City approves Flock guidelines (plattecountycitizen.com) — Platte City's Board of Aldermen has approved formal guidelines for how police can use Flock license plate reader cameras, aiming to limit data retention and restrict access to law enforcement only. Some residents, however, say the rules don't go far enough and want the city to end its Flock contract, which currently runs until at least April 2027.
