Opening of consolidated 911 center in St. Louis delayed to 2027 (stlpr.org) — St. Louis residents will now wait until at least late 2027 for the new consolidated 911 center that's supposed to streamline police, fire, and EMS dispatching. City officials and outside analysts say current response times, especially for low-priority calls, are lagging, and they hope cross-training and modernized systems at the new center will eventually improve how quickly emergencies are handled.
   

2. St. Louis is 'Certified Welcoming' to immigrants, newcomers, according to new designation (firstalert4.com) — St. Louis has earned a 2-star Certified Welcoming designation, recognizing city efforts to better serve immigrants and newcomers. With more than 7% of residents born abroad and programs like Move2STL, local leaders say this recognition reflects ongoing work to make services, language access, and community support more inclusive for everyone who calls the city home.
   

3. First Alert Forward: The evolution of The Grove (kmov.com) — The Grove in St. Louis is adding new spots like Damn Fine Anytime and The Sports Yard while long-time businesses such as Neon Greens keep expanding. Local leaders say visitor numbers are climbing, new bike and pedestrian connections are opening, and the city is working to tackle abandoned properties so the district can keep evolving beyond its nightlife roots.

5.
