• LOCAL on Delmar Mixed-Use Community Opens in Suburban St. Louis (rebusinessonline.com) — A major new mixed-use complex, LOCAL on Delmar, has just opened in University City, bringing 259 apartments, extensive amenities, and new retail right at the western edge of the Delmar Loop. Residents will be within walking distance of Washington University and more than 100 nearby restaurants and shops, while Commerce Bank and Misfit Society Coffee Club add fresh commercial life to a long-vacant site.
   

• Community of Hope helps teen moms with housing, jobs and essentials (fox2now.com) — A University City nonprofit, Community of Hope, is actively supporting teen moms with free clothing, housing and job connections from its headquarters on Vernon Avenue. Founder Dr. Allisha Jones-Pickens, a former teen mom, is seeking fall and winter clothing donations, especially for boys ages 2–5, and invites local residents to text the organization anytime for ways to help.
