Bozeman School District requires app to limit phone use in high schools (fairfieldsuntimes.com) — Bozeman high schoolers who bring phones to school now must install The Commons app, which blocks social media and web browsing inside school geofences while still allowing calls and texts. District leaders say the change updates an existing no-phone policy, aiming to reduce classroom distractions while keeping parents connected, though at least one Bozeman parent has raised privacy questions. 
2. Bozeman police make arrest after early morning crash, stabbing (explorebigsky.com) — Bozeman police arrested a man after an early Sunday rollover crash near Savannah Street and Davis Lane, where a bystander was stabbed while trying to detain the fleeing driver. The victim was treated at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital and is expected to survive, while the suspect now faces felony assault and DUI charges as detectives continue seeking additional information from the public.
3. Traveling at 29-30 weeks (whattoexpect.com) — A first-time mom from Michigan describes plans to fly into Bozeman for a family vacation while 29–30 weeks pregnant, weighing her discomfort and fatigue against her husband's eagerness to go. She notes they'll be just 10 minutes from a Bozeman hospital and will rent their own car so they can move at a slower pace than the rest of the group.
4. Daily fishing restrictions lifted for several southwestern Montana rivers (mt.gov) — Anglers around Bozeman should know that daily "hoot-owl" fishing restrictions have been lifted on the Gallatin, Jefferson, Ruby, and Shields rivers as water temperatures cool.
