• Remedial Work at Diggings East Begins (epa.gov) — Extensive cleanup has begun at Butte's Diggings East site, where hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of contaminated soil and waste will be removed over the next four years. Nearby residents will see heavy truck traffic as stormwater basins, trails, and other amenities are built, all under a federal consent decree aimed at protecting Silver Bow Creek and Butte neighborhoods from metals‑contaminated runoff.
   

• Dolly Parton's Imagination Library hands out one millionth book in Montana (fairfieldsuntimes.com) — Butte families just helped Montana's Imagination Library hit its one‑millionth free book, celebrated at Butte 4‑C's with First Lady Susan Gianforte reading to local kids.
