1. Lee Enterprises acquires Great Falls Tribune from USA Today Co. (explorebigsky.com) — Residents in Great Falls will see their longtime daily paper, the Great Falls Tribune, change hands as Lee Enterprises acquires it from USA Today Co., expanding Lee's already large Montana presence. Former Tribune publisher Jim Strauss says the deal could strengthen local reporting after years of shrinking resources, though staffing plans for the paper have not yet been announced.

2. Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center Announces Updated Public Hours During Exhibit Closure (usda.gov) — If you're planning a visit to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls, be aware that the main exhibit hall will be closed for lighting and display upgrades from October through March, with weekday-only hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can still stop by for forest information, permits, passes, the gift shop, restrooms, and access to outdoor trails and venues during construction.

3. Great Falls man sentenced to over five years for fentanyl trafficking (bigskytimes.com) — A 20‑year‑old Great Falls man has been sentenced to just over five years in federal prison, plus four years of supervised release, for dealing fentanyl from a local motel room. Arrested on state warrants, he was found with cash, 65 grams of fentanyl, and paraphernalia, in a case investigated by Great Falls Police and the U.S. Marshals Service.

The Shortest Interstate Highways In The United States (worldatlas.com) — Great Falls drivers might be surprised to learn that the short I-315 spur leading from I-15 into town ranks among the nation's tiniest Interstates. A national roundup of ultra-short highways explains how this 0.83‑mile connector quietly links the main north–south route with the city's business and street network.
