• Wolfpack soccer completes Helena sweep (dailyinterlake.com) — High school soccer fans in Helena saw Glacier's girls open their season with a 4–1 win over Helena Capital, while the boys capped a weekend sweep with a 6–1 victory. A lightning storm forced Glacier's earlier matchup with Helena High to be abandoned, with plans to reschedule the game for a later date.
   

• First step corridor identification and development of passenger rail service almost complete (inforum.com) — Work to restore long-distance passenger rail through southern Montana is moving ahead, with project leaders sharing that the first planning step is 95% complete during a recent rail summit in Helena. The Big Sky Passenger Rail Authority and partners are now preparing a multi-million-dollar service development plan, which would shape future Chicago-to-Seattle trains serving rural Montana and neighboring states.
   

• Montana drivers urged to use extra caution around school buses as students return for another school year (falloncountyextra.com) — With school buses rolling again from Helena across Montana, drivers are being reminded to stop at least 30 feet away from buses with flashing lights and never pass when those lights are on. The piece stresses cutting distractions, improving visibility, and giving buses extra space so students can get to and from school safely this year.
