Helena Christian School delays move into new campus near East Helena (morgancountycitizen.com) — Families connected to Helena Christian School will stay at Helena Valley Faith Center a bit longer, as construction delays push the full move into the new $6 million campus near East Helena back one to two months. Administrators, teachers, and students say they're adapting to divided temporary classrooms while eagerly watching daily progress on a permanent facility expected to eventually serve more than 250 people.
   

2. Why Montana's New Heritage Center Has A Smudge Room (ksenam.com) — Visitors to Helena's new Montana Heritage Center can now experience a dedicated smudge room, purpose-built with high ceilings and strong ventilation to safely support Indigenous ceremonial practices. The story explains why Northern Cheyenne architect Major Robinson pushed for this space and how it weaves living Native culture into the museum's daily operations, alongside other Indigenous design elements.
   

3. Tourism Awards Presented at Annual Conference (mt.gov) — Helena's Montana Heritage Center and Visit Helena both earned major recognition at the 2026 Montana Tourism Awards, underscoring the Capital City's growing profile as a cultural and historical destination. State tourism leaders highlighted how Helena's new heritage center, local voices, and arts-focused marketing are drawing more visitors and strengthening the local economy alongside other standout communities statewide.
   

4. Grizzly Bear Releases, Fishing Regulation Updates in Montana (mooseradio.com) — Helena will host the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission's October 15 meeting, where officials will decide on grizzly bear release sites, new recreation fees, fishing regulations, and motorized-use rules on key waters. Residents who care about bears, boats, trout, or camping fees can submit comments to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks through September 24 via the agency's website.
   

5. KXLH Helena Area Weather: Decreasing clouds and a warming trend ahead next week (kxlh.com) — Helena residents can expect clouds to decrease Sunday into Monday, with temperatures climbing into the 70s and even warmer by early next week. High pressure will bring several mild, sunny days before another system midweek adds some clouds, light shower chances mainly south and east, and breezier, cooler conditions by next Saturday.
