The Heritage Roundtable, which Commissioner Dave Strohmaier spearheaded in 2019, is an effort to engage and collaborate with local organizations to preserve the community’s shared history and heritage for future generations. Next week’s meeting will feature presentations on a wide-range of recent projects, including the new Rocky Mountain Gardens and Exploration Center, the LaLonde Ranch, Beartracks Bridge and the COVID-19 documentation project.

“History matters – it strikes at the heart of what it means to live in a civil society and helps guide us as we navigate our current world,” Strohmaier said. “The Heritage Roundtable is a culmination of the work of active participants who understand the importance of preserving history; these meetings emphasize the value of culture and learning from each other’s experiences.”

The meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams and is open to the public. The agenda is attached, and participants can join using the following information:

More than a dozen representatives attended the first Heritage Roundtable meeting in 2019 and continue to engage in the conversation. The group meets biannually to discuss and collaborate on various projects.
