Where air conditioning is most — and least — common in Montana (montanafreepress.org) — Missoula County homes have air conditioning at a lower rate than many other Montana counties, with about 71.6% of occupied homes cooled, according to new Census data. The report shows big differences across the state, with eastern counties like Custer and Yellowstone far more likely to have AC. Officials say the data can guide planning for extreme heat.
