Ryan Anderson, who owns The Garden Center in Broken Bow, was named a State Businessperson of the Year after being nominated by the Broken Bow FBLA chapter for his support of their fundraising efforts.
   

• Broken Bow Places Fifth at McCook Boys Golf Invite (sandhillsexpress.com) — Broken Bow’s boys golf team turned in a solid showing at Tuesday’s McCook Invite, carding a 345 to finish fifth in a strong field. Adrian Gibbons led Broken Bow with a 7th-place 80, while Jack White added an 83 and three other Bow golfers contributed to the team score.
