• CNPPID June Board Meeting Summary (huskeradio.com) — Central Nebraska Public Power & Irrigation District’s board met Monday in Holdrege to review an expert report on riprap problems at Kingsley Dam, confirming there’s no immediate safety risk but that major fixes are needed. Consultants urged more data gathering and recommended focusing on riprap and Xbloc solutions, with Central and its engineer now preparing a revised plan and schedule for federal regulators. 
• Phelps Medical dissects FCB in 15-1 victory (mccookgazette.com) — Holdrege’s Phelps Medical Group Juniors Legion team stayed unbeaten with a dominant 15-1 road win over McCook, powered by big bats and strong pitching from Drake Olesen.
