• Downtown Omaha sinkhole at 16th and Farnam finally filled after more than a year (3newsnow.com) — A long-problematic sinkhole at 16th and Farnam in downtown Omaha has finally been filled, reopening 16th Street between Farnam and Harney to traffic after more than a year and a half. • 76-year-old Omaha woman recounts being forced out of her home at gunpoint before standoff (ketv.com) — A longtime Harvey Oaks resident in west Omaha is rebuilding after an armed intruder forced her from her home, leading to a lengthy police standoff and the suspect's death by suicide. Neighbors sheltered her, praised the police response, and the homeowners association has launched a fundraiser as she faces six to nine months of repairs and ongoing drive-by attention.
