• Man allegedly caught with homemade pipe bomb during traffic stop pleads not guilty (justmelaniew.com) — York County residents should know that a 48-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to felony charges after deputies allegedly found a homemade pipe bomb during a June traffic stop on Highway 34 near Road L. The case, now in York County District Court, includes prior conviction history from multiple counties, and a jury trial is scheduled for mid-December.
   

• York University men's soccer team cruises past Coyotes in shutout win (justmelaniew.com) — York fans can celebrate as York University's men's soccer team dominated Kansas Wesleyan 4-0, powered by two goals each from Asaph Achero and Fionn Brereton. With a strong defensive showing and a shutout from goalkeeper Jamie Watt, the Panthers now turn their focus to hosting Avila University at 3:30 p.m. this Saturday in York.
