City of Henderson approves changes for first responder retiree benefits (fox5vegas.com) — Henderson has tentatively agreed with first responder unions to phase out monthly RHIPA health-care subsidies and instead boost contributions to individual Retirement Health Savings accounts. The city recently finished $100 million in upgrades at the Kurt R. Segler Water Reclamation Facility, boosting reliability and capacity to treat up to 44 million gallons of wastewater daily for local residents.
4. Judge ruling halts proposed Boulder City data center as Clark County reviews projects (news3lv.com) — Henderson leaders are steering a middle course on data centers, opting against a moratorium while requiring strict, negotiated development agreements for any future proposals. As Boulder City's project is halted and other counties impose bans, Henderson will scrutinize energy use, water, noise, and neighborhood impacts before allowing any data center to move forward, directly shaping future development near residents.
