Clark County Schools Cut Millions More From Budget
The board approved up to another nearly $14 million in cuts. That's on top of $43 million in cuts approved last month.

The Clark County School Board approved nearly $14 million in budget cuts Thursday. The district is struggling to close a more than $60 million deficit.
The new cuts - which will save approximately $13.9 million - follow $43 million in cuts that were approved last month.
In addition, individual schools are expected to make cuts to their individual budgets that will save the district another $17.4 million. The new cuts come from eliminating 272 positions - mostly from the district's central administration; positions such as clerical workers - that were determined by which cuts would have the least impact on students.
More cuts are expected when the school board meets again at the end of the month.
