4. Las Vegas girl's photo to shine in Times Square for Down syndrome awareness (fox5vegas.com) — Two children from the Las Vegas area, Kay and Leo, have been selected from thousands of entries to have their photos displayed in Times Square during a national Down syndrome awareness event on September 12. Their families and local sponsors are helping turn the honor into a memorable New York trip, highlighting inclusion and community support.

Vice President Vance to speak at Republican Jewish Coalition Leadership Summit in Las Vegas (ktnv.com) — Las Vegas will host Vice President JD Vance later this month as he keynotes the Republican Jewish Coalition's Leadership Summit at The Venetian Resort from August 30–31, with a closing breakfast on September 1. The gathering will draw high-profile Republican figures including House Speaker Mike Johnson, EPA administrator Lee Zeldin, and Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, putting significant national political attention on the city.
