Why did Aaron Ford join California’s AG Rob Bonta to stop Paramount from buying Warner Bros.? The deal has nothing to do with Nevada.
I think Ford joined Nevada in the lawsuit because he is politically aligned with Netflix, and Netflix wants the deal stopped.
Weeks before the lawsuit, Netflix board member Susan Rice donated to Ford's political campaign. Netflix also funds a group Ford used to lead, the Attorney General Alliance.
That looks bad. If a public official takes a step that helps a company tied to his campaign and his political party, people will wonder who he is working for.
Ford should explain why he added Nevada into the lawsuit, when Nevada is not involved.
