Here are the top 3 stories today in Las Vegas:

  1. A teenager was arrested and charged with attempted murder last week after allegedly beating and sexually assaulting his teacher during a discussion about his grades. The victim was discovered by another employee and hospitalized in stable condition. (Las Vegas Patch)
  2. Some local residents are expressing concerns about the city's plan to install paid parking meters in the Arts District. The city's Parking Services department first announced the new parking plan at the City Council meeting on Apr. 6. 3. The National Atomic Testing Museum hosted a STEM program for kids last weekend. The event, "Water Wonderland," gave children ages 10-14 the opportunity to build a hydroponics micro garden using recycled materials, learn about the effects of drought, and much more.
