Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. A Las Vegas healthcare company was convicted for Medicaid fraud. On Monday, 53-year-old Kimberly Rashone Broussard and her company, Phenomenal Angels, LLC, were sentenced after an investigation alleged that billings submitted by Phenomenal Angels to Medicaid between Jan. 2017 and April 2018 exceeded the maximum number of service hours in a 24-hour period. Broussard has been given a 364 day suspended jail sentence and placed on probation for a year; her company was ordered to pay nearly $225,000 in restitution. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
  2. The man who was killed in Saturday's Las Vegas hookah lounge shooting has been identified. 33-year-old Demetrus Beard has been identified as the victim, according to The Clark County Coroner's Office. As of the most recent police department update, no arrests have been made. (News3LV)
  3. A downtown Las Vegas property will be hosting a hiring event to fill over 150 positions. On March 10, Circa Resort & Casino will be hosting a hiring event from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the valet area of its sister property, the Golden Gate Hotel, and Casino, in an effort to fill positions across multiple departments. Resume submissions prior to the event are highly encouraged, and all applicants should be prepared to interview on the spot. (FOX5 Las Vegas)

Looking for a healthy alternative to that mid-week glass (or three) of wine? Our partners at Betera set out to create beverages that were sophisticated and flavorful enough to drink at cocktail hour but with zero hangover risk. (Their motto is "Drink like there's tomorrow.") Betera's drinks are designed by a Michelin-starred chef using natural botanicals — they're lightly effervescent, sippable, refreshingly bitter and at home in a stem glass or in a highball on the rocks. Betera offers three recipes — Rhubarb-Hibiscus, Elderflower-Lime and Ginger-Orange. We've tried all three and loved them equally — we recommend the mixed case as a great place to start.

Betera has extended their 15% discount on first orders to Daily readers, in appreciation for the enthusiastic response so far. Enter Patch15 at checkout and https://bit.ly/TryBetera.
