Here are the top three stories in Las Vegas today:

  1. A Las Vegas man passed away after being trapped inside a self-service car wash last week. Officers with the Escondido Police Department arrived to find 56-year-old Rene Tactay Jaime, who was in the area visiting family, trapped between a vehicle and a part of the car wash machinery. For unknown reasons, Jaime reportedly opened the driver's side door and stepped out while the vehicle was in the self-service car wash. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  2. Clark County leaders are considering a new ordinance that would designate pedestrian bridges on the Las Vegas Strip as "crosswalks." Should the ordinance pass, buskers and beggars would not be allowed to stop on the bridges, just as they would not be allowed to stop in the middle of the road. County commissioners and Las Vegas police have made pedestrian bridge safety a priority after a stabbing took place on one bridge, taking the life of an off-duty officer. A public hearing is scheduled for May 3 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the potential changes. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
  3. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's help in finding a suspect wanted for commercial robbery with a deadly weapon. Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, the suspect reportedly entered a business on South Las Vegas Boulevard, where he threatened the employee with a firearm and attempted to obtain money from the business. Anyone with information is asked to contact the LVMPD Robbery Unit at (702) 828-3591, or provide an anonymous tip via Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or crimestoppersofnv.com. (News3LV)
