Here are the top 3 stories today in Las Vegas:
- A man was allegedly killed by his coworker during a pool project, and the story surrounding his death is still up in the air. On Nov. 29, Oscar Ortiz Martinez found 30-year-old, Gary Flores, unconscious after leaving him and Kevin Ortiz Martinez to complete another job. Kevin Ortiz has not admitted to anything and will not speak any further without the presence of an attorney. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
- The Clark County School District is keeping their schools open for in-person learning amid the surge in cases. Many of the surrounding school districts have made the decision to go back to online learning, but the CCSD is confident in their mitigation strategies to protect the safety of their staff and students. Masks are required for all students and faculty when present on campus grounds. (KTNV Las Vegas)
- An 18-year-old boy was shot in the head and killed, and police are now on the search for justice for Aron Robinson and his family. Robinson was found unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound to the head by authorities on Dec. 6 after responding to a call. Detectives have been put on the case; however, suspect information will not be disclosed to preserve the integrity of the case. (News3LV)
